The Roux Institute Techstars Accelerator program ended on Thursday, December 9, 2021, with the Demo Day event. The ten entrepreneurs, including breathing.ai CEO and founder Hannes Bend, presented their companies to an audience of over 250 people in person, including Governor Janet Mills, Margaret Angell, Head of Partnerships and Operations at The Roux Institute, Chris Mallett, Chief Administrative Officer of the Roux Institute, Android co-founder and investor Rich Miner, and an online audience of thousands. The event was hosted by 6-Time Emmy Award Winner Miles O’Brien who interviewed Hannes Bend after the presentation.
Hannes announced the new partnership of breathing.ai with the Institute for Experiential AI at Northeastern University (IEAI), supported by the Maine Technology Institute (MTI). In collaboration with two other labs, the Chand Lab (Boston University) and NSSR Lab (The New School), the research and development will focus on novel machine learning applications for personalized technological interactions adaptive to human wellbeing.
